What we added at our users’ suggestion, and what we corrected on their reports.

Some of the people who use LexiQamus send us suggestions and report the errors they spot. This page records, year by year, what we added on whose suggestion and what we corrected on whose report. Our thanks to all of them.

April 26

At the suggestion of Assoc. Prof. Abdurrahman Atçıl we simplified the on-screen keyboard by removing some buttons, and added small “i” icons to show which keys carry an explanation.

Suggestions

May 3

At the suggestion of Esra Demirkoparan we placed a + button before the first box, so a blank box can now be added before the first letter.

April 15

At the suggestion of John Zacharias Crist, when a blank box is entered next to alternative letters, the search now also allows for the absence of a letter in that position.

January 8

On the recommendation of Prof. Edhem Eldem (Boğaziçi University) and Dr. Nir Shafir (UC San Diego), we added new characters to the on-screen keyboard for letters that are similar in shape.
