LexiQamus is a linguistic analysis tool developed for Ottoman Turkish. When it went live on June 7, 2016, it was an innovation in its field: no other digital tool existed for deciphering unreadable words. It does the following:

• It deciphers words that are difficult to read for various reasons.
• It finds the correct word even when the letters are mistyped during a search.
• It shows the definitions of words from several dictionaries.
• It unearths hidden meanings that are present in the dictionaries but unknown even to their authors.
• It provides access to spellings of a word that even Ottoman intellectuals may not have known.

With all these features, LexiQamus has quickly gained the support of many reputable institutions in Turkey and around the world.

Under the project, dictionaries are digitized in a flawless and highly detailed manner, and the search algorithm is constantly being improved.
